(June 15, 2026, Hong Kong) With the Dragon Boat Festival approaching, to promote traditional culture and care for the elderly in the community, Fungsui Culture, in conjunction with "Seer Onnet," held a two-day "Zongzi with You" charity zongzi-making and care visit activity on June 10th and 17th. A group of volunteers, fellow practitioners, and devotees brought festive warmth and blessings to the elderly and underprivileged families in Tsuen Wan and Tai Wo Hau districts through handmade zongzi making, musical performances, and classic games.

On the first day of the event (June 10th), volunteers first learned the traditional art of wrapping zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) under the guidance of experienced elders, passing on the history and culture of the Dragon Boat Festival and its craftsmanship. Everyone carefully crafted festive zongzi, each containing heartfelt wishes for the recipient. Afterwards, the volunteer team transformed into "flower pickers," specially selecting blooming, vibrant flowers, and bringing freshly picked bouquets and hand-wrapped zongzi to visit the Shing Wo Nursing Home for the Elderly in Tsuen Wan.

The visit began with the melodious music of the Taoist band. Volunteers and the elderly sang together several classic Taoist songs and nostalgic hits, including "Cheng Qing Yun," "Praise to the Master," and "Initiation Praise," creating a warm and touching atmosphere. Subsequently, the crowd reviewed the classic game "Rainbow Throwing (White Arrow)" in Lai Yuen. Seniors and volunteers threw silver coins in groups. The elderly and volunteers were divided into groups to toss coins. The volunteers cheered them on, helped keep score, and offered assistance to the elderly with mobility issues, so that everyone could enjoy the game. At the end of the event, volunteers presented the residents with rice dumplings, snacks, and gift bags, filling the room with joyful laughter.

"Seer Onnet" actively participates, demonstrating community care

A representative from Fungsui Culture stated, "The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival that brings families and communities together, and we are delighted to collaborate with 'Seer Onnet' on this event. 'Seer Onnet' has always advocated for a positive attitude towards life, which aligns perfectly with our philosophy of spreading blessings through action. We will continue to work together in the future to bring love to more places in need."

The second part of the event will be held on June 17th, when another group of volunteers will go to Dawokou District to distribute rice dumplings and daily necessities to families and the elderly in rural areas, continuing the festive blessings and allowing more community members to feel care and support.
